Sporadic Scene: Scream (1996) – Opening Scene

I am a sucker for the Scream franchise. It is just so much fun. Watching it the other day again, I realised just how iconic that opening scene with Drew Barrymore is. It sets the tone for the rest of the movie. Phone call, stranger, jokes, and then shit just gets real – like we all thought she was going to survive, be our main heroine. Barrymore was also perfect for the scene, and the popcorn as a timer was great. Casey Becker gets one of the most brutal deaths of the movie franchise – and we had such hope for her survival!
